Welcome
This blog is about the success I have had in losing 85 pounds in the year 2010.
I have mantained this for over a year just by eating for my blood type.
Removing foods like wheat and corn because they interfere with insulin efficiency and slow a blood type O's metabolic rate.
In a perfect world I could live without everything . I do on a very rare occasion have some foods but (very little)that I shouldn't but NEVER wheat or corn.

I write about how I did the every day and the emotions that go with it.
I am in the process of writing a cookbook that has all of my recipes I have created to help on this journey.

My purpose in this blog is to encourage and equip people who are struggling with weight loss and eating healthy.

Eating healthy is the only way out.
I ate my way in this, so I ate my way out.

Then S c r e a c h ! the sound of tires trying to stop

Yesterday was a very very BIG day in Sandra's world.
I DID IT !!! I RAN A 8K (4.97MIES) IN 1 HR 9 MIN 28 SEC !!!
I actually did better than I have ever done - I did 15 minute miles in my workout w/ the finish time of 1 hr 9 min 28 sec brings me to a new  place of 13.89 minutes per mile 4.32 miles per hour...
Late December I started to jog thinking someday I will do a marathon.
Being that I hated to jog and never even thought of marathons as something personally rewarding I found it very intriguing that I kept thinking about doing a impossible task such as that.
I was bit by the challenge...my own personal challenge of yet another goal too hard to reach. But really it was achievable I just had to be willing to work at it to get there.
This marathon has made me think of many things that can be associated with the subject.
#1   the challenges that we set for ourselves - do we have the hurrah to push ourselves to get to it?
#2   I found myself thinking this is no big deal to others as its just 5 miles so who cares ?
#3   I know I can do better and more after my experience in this
To address #1
we need to be in the practice of goal setting and being our own cheerleader to accomplish what ever it is we want to accomplish...not being impatient and pine away at the goal till we get there...and celebrate it when we do :)
To address #2
well I care and  that's first .
After that comes other people in your circle of life ...normally the closest ones will give you cheers for the conquered goals but people in general are desensitized to other peoples achievements unless they are HUGE we all seem to think it isn't a big deal...it made me think about myself and how I react to other peoples happy moments in life.
I'm saying all this to say this experience and the reaction has made me start to think "its not a big deal at all"
and "who cares" doubting I ever achieved anything .
Then S c r e a c h ! the sound of a tires trying to stop....I said to myself "Sandra the goal was BIG for you and you achieved it " just because it wasn't the full pf changs marathon or some huge thing does not negate the fact that your personal goal was accomplished ...so for me it was a BIG DEAL once again in my heart

Well onto more running to build up my stamina and breathing capacity and endurance so I can achieve more baby marathons and better running times.I will run more outdoors too.

I still eat for my blood type O and still encouraging others that they too can accomplish big goals that seem impossible right now but day by day ...one bite at a time one exercise routine at a time you can get to where you want to be .
