Welcome
This blog is about the success I have had in losing 85 pounds in the year 2010.
I have mantained this for over a year just by eating for my blood type.
Removing foods like wheat and corn because they interfere with insulin efficiency and slow a blood type O's metabolic rate.
In a perfect world I could live without everything . I do on a very rare occasion have some foods but (very little)that I shouldn't but NEVER wheat or corn.

I write about how I did the every day and the emotions that go with it.
I am in the process of writing a cookbook that has all of my recipes I have created to help on this journey.

My purpose in this blog is to encourage and equip people who are struggling with weight loss and eating healthy.

Eating healthy is the only way out.
I ate my way in this, so I ate my way out.

Tips on What To Buy

Here are some tips on things you should know when shopping for food
Tip #1
I can have many different kinds of fish but I choose Cod and Salmon as my fav's...somethings you should know about fish...cold water fish is what I prefer for the very reason that bacteria isn't prone in the waters they grow up in ...warm water fish environment is susceptible to bacteria and you are what you eat so I go with cold water fish only...I also never eat farm raised salmon not only is it not a natural environment but they almost always add food coloring to the fish ... READ YOUR LABELS ...they put it on there if they add coloring...AND always get fresh Never frozen in either case Cod or Salmon...frozen cod that has been thawed is gritty and gross when cooked..The only place I know of that has Fresh Never Frozen is Sprouts ...AJ's ...and Whole Foods ...just a side note to whats lurking in the fish supply we eat...Fresh and Easy has on the freezer door to the fish they sell in the frozen section that if you are pregnant its not healthy to eat swordfish and I forget the other fish they named but it said there is traces of mercury in them and it is hazardous to your health ...pregnant or not I'm not eating that !
Tip #2
Sprouts stores are easily accessible to us rather than Whole Foods for some reason Whole Foods thinks anyone on the west side of central ave don't eat or buy healthy foods...with that thought  I wanted you to know when you know something is available by a certain company lets say Arrowhead Mills for an example...Sprouts used to carry a cereal by them that was KAMUT Flakes ...they told me anything that I want as long as its listed in the book and available in the warehouse they can get it for me even if they don't carry it...so I "special order "it and in a few days I have it ...also there was some Brown Rice Grits I found by Arrowhead Mills in Texas that I hadn't seen here in Az...I asked them and they ordered me some... sometimes we have to go through a few extra steps to get what we want instead of going 32 miles(1way )to a Whole Foods not so bad :)
Tip #3
go on line to these companies like Arrowhead Mills or Bobs Red Mills to see what is available in the product line ...if you do your homework you can be able to get what you want and only have to go to the local Sprouts to get it just by asking them to "special order it".
Tip # 4
this is the best mayo replacement ever ...you will find it in the refrigerated section @ Sprouts and Whole Foods...maybe other places but those 2 I know for sure have it...my husband loves it !
my niece missy is to be thanked for this :)..thx missy

I was SO glad to hear you say that farm raised salmon is not the way to go. I TOTALLY agree. Fish farms are to the ocean what feedlots and factory farming are to the land. Dirty, unhealthy, bacteria factories where the animals are fed a diet meant to fatten them for market, not make them healthy (or healthy for us!). Stay wild, Coach Sandra! :-)
