Welcome
This blog is about the success I have had in losing 85 pounds in the year 2010.
I have mantained this for over a year just by eating for my blood type.
Removing foods like wheat and corn because they interfere with insulin efficiency and slow a blood type O's metabolic rate.
In a perfect world I could live without everything . I do on a very rare occasion have some foods but (very little)that I shouldn't but NEVER wheat or corn.

I write about how I did the every day and the emotions that go with it.
I am in the process of writing a cookbook that has all of my recipes I have created to help on this journey.

My purpose in this blog is to encourage and equip people who are struggling with weight loss and eating healthy.

Eating healthy is the only way out.
I ate my way in this, so I ate my way out.

Rutabagas...Gotta Love Them

Requests for this recipe prompts me to post these lovely snappy veggies
Scalloped Rutabagas:
Rutabagas
Onion
Butter
Flour
Almond Milk
Onion Powder
Salt /Pepper
Shredded Mozzarella cheese

rinse and peel about 3 large rutabagas
peel down past the halo or line ...you will see it you need to make sure its past that or the veggie will have grain stringy things.
1 Large onion
If you have a food processor use the slicing disc to slice the onion and the rutabagas
set aside
Make a white sauce out of 3 TBS flour(I used oat flour) and a 4 TBS of real butter put a good dash of onion powder in it ...cook the flour stirring constantly and then add a little almond milk at a time to make it a thick sauce ..texture like bbq sauce...
set aside
Assemble the rutabagas in 2 layers then 1 of onions...put dots of butter in a few place then continue w layers...
when done last thing cover top with white sauce
Dot w butter
Top w shredded mozzarella cheese

Bake uncovered  at 350* until brown and bubbly ...should be tender w fork
its absolutely the best as left overs the next day
